Competition Results

2005 was a very quiet year for us, because most of it was spent getting Astro in condition, back into work and training him as he was VERY green. 

April - Walk/trot test - 1st with 76%

May - Prelim 1.3 - 6th out of 26 with 58.6%, it was a horrible test and I didn't warm him up for long enough

Novemeber - Prelim 1.4 - 1st with 66%

All of the above competitions were unofficial, and the point of these events was to get Astro out and about and to get some feedback from the judges as to how our training was going.

January - Prelim 1.2 - 3rd out of 15 with 60% another unpleasant test!

March - Prelim 1C (old tests) 3rd out of 15 with 59% they had the tape arenas which made him very tense

Novice 2D - 1st out of 10 with 62%

April - Prelim 1.3 - 1st out of 22 with 67.5%

Prelim - 1.4 (official) 2nd out of 12 with 62%

May - Prelim 1.3 - 1st out of 18 with 62.8%

Novice 2.3 - 2nd out of 25 with 62.8% (we were beaten by 0.4%!)

Novice 2.3 - 3rd out of 15 with 64.8%

June - Prelim (official - Championships) - 4th out of 18 with 66%

Novice 2.1  (assoicate - Championships) - 8th out of 22 with 63.2%

Novice 2.3 (official - Championships) - 4th out of 14 with 62%

Novice 2.4 (official - Championships) - 5th out of 14 with 60.8%

At the champs, we were 0.1% away from Offical Novice Reserve Champion!

August - Northwest Regional Dressage Championships (Tamworth)

Novice 2.3 (official) - 2nd out of 26 with 62%

Novice 2.4 (official) - 10th out of 26 with 57% (wasn't happy at all with the test)

Elementary 3.1 (associate) - 7th out of 11 with 57.425%.  I was very happy with the score for his first elem test.

 We had to miss out on a few comps this year due to Astro's mental breakdowns and car troubles!  Heres hoping that 2007 will be our year!
